Flexi RAil Pass

These Passes are available in the number of rail days you need.[Image]

Flexi Passes let you buy the number of Rail days you need for your Travels.  Above is an example of a 6 day Italian Pass called the Trenitalia Pass.  Other Flexi passes will look the same with a "different" name on top left hand corner.  

Consecutive day passes DO NOT HAVE THE BOXES YOU WRITE TRAVEL DATES IN.  

1.  Each day you travel, you write in the day and the month.  

2. When you do a night train, you enter your arrival Date,

3.  Before you start using your pass, you need to "Validate" your pass at your first departure station.

        Station Personell will fill in 1.  begin and end dates of pass validity.   2.  Stamp the box on right side of pass.  and 3. fill in your pass port numbes on the control voucher underneath your pass.

How to Read your Night train Reservation Card
  1. Find track for Train # Example:  Train # 771

  2. Train car is called a "Coach"   Find your "coach" or train car on your train.                               Example:  Train car is # 014.

  3. Look for Compartment on car/coach with your berth or bed numbers. An attendant may meet you at your Car entrance and show you to your compartment.  FOR INTERNATIONAL NIGHT TRAINS, THE ATTENDANT WILL TAKE YOUR RAILPASS OR TICKET AND YOUR PASSPORT SO YOU ARE NOT WOKEN AT A BOARDER CROSSING.

Couchette Berth Compartments

You can book night train sleepers/couchettes when you arrive in Europe or when you purchase Rail Passes and tickets before you depart. We recommend making reservations if you are firm about dates you want to useand particularly during high & holiday seasons. You can make these reservations up to 60 days in advance. If your itinerary is flexible--then make these reservations as you travel at any train station or European travel agency for a small fee on top of the reservation fee.

Sleepers, Couchettes and Sleeperettes  

Couchette Night train Reservations are $29 per/person for most night trains on top of ticket price or railpass--and you sleep with 5 other Bunk Mates. (see Couchette photo)

Private Sleepers vary in price depending on type of train, compartment size (Double, Triple, or Quad) and distance it travels. Some Hotel trains have "same gender" Quad. compartments for singles who don't want to use co-ed 6 person couchette.

All Reservations  MUST BE USED FOR THE TIME AND DAY YOU RESERVE IT FOR or you loose the specific reservation (not your rail pass day or point to point train ticket). Tickets that include reservations in price Must BE USED FOR DATE OF RESERVATION or changed or refunded per/sale conditions. If you need flexibility, purchase these reservations as you need them in Europe and add them to your Rail Pass or point to point ticket.  

A Couchette is a 6 person "mixed Gender" Compartment
