Ate "Gourmet" on A BUDGET....Mele, Tell people grourmet eating in major cities in Europe is cheaper than in Honolulu. We bought an array of gourmet foods in a London grocery which would have cost us $100 in Honolulu—but only cost $30 there. We ate like royalty for several days.

Didn't get Sick from Water.... We drank tap water through out Europe and England and never got sick. And rue Cler in Paris was our favorite neighborhood for home- basing. It had everything and was well within our budget. Valarie Chinn—Kaimuki Budget Europe Student

I save lots of money by drinking tap water and water served in restaurants in Northern Europe and UK.  I refill my water bottle in my room before I take off for the day.  At restaurants I go local and order a pitcher of water for our table saving $2 or more per/person on bottled water.  AVOID DRINKING UNTREATED WATER EAST OF BULGARIA AND SOUTH OF THE MEDITERRANEAN  AND ON TRAINS or any place showing a glass with red "X" over it, or a skull and crossbones.  Go to Travel Health web site  page http://travelhealth.com/randd/precaution.phtml?pid=3 for more information about water.  Mele Fujiwara, TERC Travel Consultant.
