Swiss "CHOCOLATE TRAIN"  ROUTE:  Montreux - Gruyers - Broc Fabrique - Montreux.

Service is from June through October            Service available Monday, Wednesday and Thursday for June, September and October Service available Monday thru Friday for July and August	$31
Reservation fee includes:   1st class train travel from Montreux to Gruyères and Broc Factory, then return to Montreux Seat reservation in either a Pullman Belle Epoque or panoramic car Complimentary coffee and croissants on the train Bus from and to Gruyères train station Admission into cheese factory and into castle in Gruyères Film presentation, factory visit and chocolate sampling at the Cailler-Nestlé chocolate factory.

Train departs from Montreux on the Swiss Riviera, ascends to Gruyeres, home of the famous Gruyeres cheese, continues on to Broc where the Nestle Chocolate factory is situated between Lake Gruyere and the Swiss Apls, then returns to Montreux.

Only valid with a 1st class Swiss Pass, Swiss Flexi Pass, Swiss Saver Pass, Swiss Saver Flexipass, Eurailpass and Eurail Selectpass (including Switzerland) (reservation is additional and compulsory).

The best scenic rides that are covered by Eurail/Selectpass and Swiss passes:

• Geneva to Brig
• Montreux to Spiez "Golden Pass" (reservation is required)
• Interlaken to Luzern (Lucerne)
• Chur, Switzerland to Tirano, Italy "Bernina Express" (reservation required, through TERC with pass or ticket orders, or do locally)

The following private trains are not covered by Eurail or Selectpass— they are covered by Swiss railpasses. Costs listed here are approximate & 2nd class. The most important are:

• Many trains in the Jungfrau region south of Interlaken ($7 from Interlaken to Grindelwald; $10 to Gimmelwald; $130 round-trip to Jungfraujoch, or $99 or more even with a Swiss or other rail passes). Note: If you have a validated Eurail/Europass you can get a 25% discount on most Jungfrau area train tickets and lifts, without using up a pass day.
• The $42 Brig-Disentis segment of the Glacier Express that scenicly crosses Alp-filled southern Switzerland from Martigny to Chur (make the required reservation at any Swiss train station, or in the USA through TERC 808 395-2083 when you order passes..
• The private train to see the Matterhorn (Brig-Zermatt 37SF, $25).
