Austria's one-month
Bundesnetz-karte (Network Pass) costs about AS 4,300 ($440) second
class or AS 5,900 ($600) first class at Austrian train stations. It offers
unlimited travel on Austrian railways, and a 50% discount on boat trips.
Groups of up to six travelers can buy and share a discount mileage pass called
a Kilometer-bank which is good on any train trip of at least 44 miles.
Sold only in Austria, 2,000 second class kilometers (1240 miles) cost AS
2,400 ($250), 3,000 second class kilometers cost AS 3,600, and 5,000 second
class kilometers cost AS 5,850. First class costs 50% more, children 6-15
go for half price.
